I am a researcher and journalist based in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, I’m on staff at New York Magazine, where I fact-check the print magazine and web features. Before that, I was an associate editor at The Atlantic, and before that, I was a staff fact-checker at The New Republic, The Nation, and Dissent magazines. I’ve fact-checked non-fiction book manuscripts and radio programs as well. I also write, from time to time, mostly about contemporary feminism.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and I haven’t left yet. I was one of nine students in my class at Swarthmore College to receive my undergraduate degree with Highest Honors, and I wrote my thesis on citizen journalists during the 2011 Libyan uprising.
